Project MEL & donor reporting

PURPA - reporting & knowledge capture

Two complementary but distinct responsibilities: regional PURPA monitoring in Vakinankaratra as Head of SRSISESA, followed by a specific national final-reporting and knowledge-capture assignment.

Assignment completed

The challenge

Start with the operational problem.

Consolidate several campaigns, districts, value chains and input categories without confusing unique beneficiaries with cumulative support, then turn the data into a reliable account of achievements.

The response

Build a coherent system.

At regional level, monitoring structured by campaign and territory with consistency checks and consolidation of seven districts. At national level, a separate synthesis, results-focused drafting and knowledge-capture process for project closure.

My role

Work across the useful chain.

Regional mandate - as Head of SRSISESA: MEL and regional database management, data control across seven districts and regional reporting. Separate national assignment - specifically requested at closure to consolidate results, lead drafting of the final report and knowledge-capture document, and contribute to the final workshop.

Result

Across four campaigns, regional monitoring covered 13,643 cumulative farm-household support instances, 233,828 kg of seed, 195,020 kg of NPK and 7,351,450 kg of organic fertiliser.

Key components

The main dimensions of the assignment.
